VERDE VALLEY ROTARY DONATES TO VERDE SEARCH AND RESCUE

The Rotary Club of the Verde Valley is proud to donate $1,000 to the volunteers of the Verde Search and Rescue Posse. For over three decades the VSAR Posse has been providing skilled, trained and motivated search and rescue volunteer support the Yavapai County Sheriff's office.  VSAR is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non profit organization.  VSAR volunteers respond to an average of over 60 search and rescue missions per year, in 2020 their total was 105.  They are trained and at the ready to respond when requested.  We are the "boots on the ground" men and women who go out when a 911 call comes in to find the lost and those in need of help, at no cost to those we are helping. Maintaining a fully functioning and professionally trained search and rescue posse requires about $2,000 per member.  Half of this cost is borne by the volunteers, as they are responsible for the purchase of some equipment.  The remaining expenditures including some equipment are paid for by the VSAR.  Please consider helping by making a tax deductible donation to the VSAR.  You can donate online at www.verdesar.org or by check to PO Box 2293, Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
